Outbound marketing

Outbound Marketing is a conventional method or ‘push’ technique in engaging potential customers. It refers to any marketing activity where a company initiates the conversation and pushes messages out to a target audience. Examples include cold-calling, telemarketing, trade shows, or email campaigns. In the context of accounting and consulting businesses, outbound marketing may involve reaching out to potential clients through outbound sales or business development teams, formal presentations, seminars, or industry trade shows. In a digital age, it may materialize through paid messaging, for example LinkedIn’s sponsored messages could be an effective medium, considering it’s a platform used by professionals across various niches, including the finance and consulting industry. Outbound marketing does have its place in a comprehensive marketing strategy. It’s good for raising awareness and gaining quick, but often expensive, visibility. It’s often most effective in the B2B space, where you have a narrower, more specific audience, as with accounting and consulting businesses.
